Kabuis pledge to safeguard Manipur’s integrity

Kabui Union Manipur pledged to strive for a United Manipur.

Kabui Union Manipur continues to hold series of meetings with villagers of various Kabui villages across the hill and valley regions of the state, to protect and safeguard the integrity of the state at all costs, all the while remembering the sacrifices of the ancestors.

A public meet was held at Namthanlong kabui village in Thangmeiband on September 17, wherein the village chief, locals, youth club and women’s society members took part in the meet, stated a release on Friday.

A similar meeting was also held at Keikhu Kabui village at 10 am on September 24, it stated.

Attendees at the meet observed a 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to the village volunteers who were killed in the conflict, it mentioned. A meeting was also held at 2 pm on the same day with villagers and youth club members of Chingmeirong kabui village, it added.

The Union also convened a public meeting at Mahabali Kabui village on October 1 and took oath with the public to strive for a United Manipur and also chalked out various resolutions regarding the same, it stated.
