Four Judges, including Justice N Kotiswar Singh, have been appointed as Chief Justices of several high courts on Sunday.
Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju took to Twitter and extended wishes to the newly appointed Chief Justices.
“As per the relevant provisions under the Constitution of India, the following judges are appointed as Chief Justices of different high courts. I extend best wishes to all of them!” he tweeted.
Justice Sonia Giridhar Gokani has been appointed as Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court while Justice Sandeep Mehta has been appointed as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. Justice Jaswant Singh as Chief Justice of Tripura High Court, and Justice N Kotiswar Singh as Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
