The Joint Students’ Body (JSB), Lamka has decided to relax the indefinite shutdown of government offices initiated from January 19, limiting it to every Friday of the week.
“While keeping in mind the need to demonstrate our resentment against the injustice to which we have been subjected and which compelled the indefinite shutdown of government offices, the need to ensure that public services to which the general public are entitled, as a matter of right, and for which various government offices must remain functional must be kept in mind,” Information and Publicity Wings of the JSB, Lamka stated in a release.
Citing public interest, the JSB said that “...we resolve to relax the shutdown and to strictly enforce the same every Friday and as such, appeal to all, whether government officials or otherwise, to kindly cooperate with us”.
