Manipur Awang Chingkhei Kanba Clubs and Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (MACKCMAL) on Monday informed that a joint peaceful mass sit-in cum public meeting on 'Manipur gi Apunbagi Saktam Kaiba Yaroi, Manipur da Administration Ani Suna Thokpa Yaroi’ would be held on July 20 at Wangkhei Pungjao Lampak, Khurai-Ukhrul road, Imphal.
As such, MACKCMAL called upon all CSOs, Meira Paibis and the people of Manipur to take part in the protest cum meeting and exuded confidence that the insights shared in the meeting would aid in outlining the course of action to resolve the ongoing crisis.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, MACKCMAL spokesperson Konsam Victor Pamuba asserted that no one had the power to stop a voluntary movement to safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur.
If needed, people will sacrifice their lives to ward off aggression and protect the territorial integrity of Manipur, he added.
He highlighted that the meeting had been organised to derive a common agenda to combat the baseless separate administration demand of the Kuki community.
He also appealed to all the people of Manipur to take part in the meeting and strive to build a common consensus among the people.
“Resource persons will give their views on the ongoing issue and aid in figuring out a further course of action; as such, we exhort people to take part in the meeting,” he said.
He further added that the objective of vested individuals to disintegrate the state would remain futile as such he advised them to lay off their diabolical plans.
