Indian Army inaugurates new computer lab in Churachandpur

The Indian Army stationed at Churachandpur district, Manipur inaugurated a newly constructed computer lab under Operation Sadbhavana at S Kawtlian, Churachandpur on Saturday.

In its continued efforts to empower local communities by enhancing access to education and technology, the Indian Army stationed at Churachandpur district, Manipur inaugurated a newly constructed computer lab under Operation Sadbhavana at S Kawtlian, Churachandpur on Saturday.

The initiative highlights the lack of modern computer training facilities in the area for which the Indian Army responded to the demands of the S Kawtlian and adjacent villages, where the Army was in operation, in that part of Churachandpur district.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the chief of S Kawtlian village along with the other chiefs of the adjacent villages.

The facility provided consists of seven computers, a printer, a projector and other necessary accessories  that will provide students and residents with modern tools to enhance digital literacy which will also improve the youth’s future prospects by equipping them with valuable information technology skills.

The equipment provided by the Indian Army was also aimed at paving the way for future employment opportunities and overall community growth. It is also a testament of the Indian Army’s reinforced commitment to the resurgence of educational information to the budding students to bring about a brighter future for them.
