The state government should give recognition to Thang-ta certifications like recognising other martial arts and should include Thang-ta in the syllabus of primary schools of Manipur, demanded various Thangta leaders in Manipur.
It was a resolution passed during a one day discourse on Thang-ta organised by Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society held on Monday at the auditorium of JNMDA in Imphal West.
It also resolved to urged the state government to make the State Thang-ta Common Syllabus Committee to make it enliven by appointing more experts and prominent Thang-ta teacher in the committee.
The discourse also decided to form a public Thang-ta common syllabus committee, which will be a parallel to the state level committee.
The discourse was attended by various Thang-ta leaders and stake holders of Manipur.
