As incessant rain continued in Manipur, more landslides continue to occur in different locations in Tamenglong, adding further challenges to the people who had been hit hard by flooding, power outages etc. in the district.
At district headquarters, a massive mudslide occurred around 6 am on Saturday at old Treasury Road, Chingkhiulong Ward No 5 blocking the road completely.

However, there are no reports of human casualty. A social worker from Chiuluan village Akiansin Gangmei brought a JCB and a truck, and started clearing the mudslides. Locals of Chingkhiulong Ward No 5 thanked social worker Akiansin Gangmei for his good gesture.
Landslides also occurred along the Tamenglong- Khongsang road; however, the contractor engaged in double-lane work cleared up the mud so that vehicles could pass.
As incessant rain continued in Tamenglong district, the people are reeling from total blackout since Friday.
