The accused, who was arrested in a molestation case in Imphal West, has been sent to judicial custody, sources said.
The accused identified as Haobam Ibomcha Singh was arrested by a team of Imphal West district police on October 5 for molesting a girl student at his residence at Lalambung Makhong Takhellambam Leikai, Imphal West, Manipur.
The video of the 43-year-old man misbehaving with the girl went viral on social media. As per the video, the incident occurred at around 5.30 am October 4. In the video, Ibomcha was seen coming on a two-wheeler and molesting the girl by taking advantage of the isolation and escaping from the spot.
After examining the videos, CCTV footage and through other sources, the police arretsed Ibomcha from his residence on October 5.
