With the state government all set to hold the 4th Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly sitting on Tuesday (August 29, 2023), traffic regulations/diversions have been arranged for the day.
According to Wungpam Kasar, MPS, Superintendent of Police, Traffic Control Police Wing, “in connection with the 4th Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Sitting, at Manipur Legislative Assembly the following traffic regulation / diversions are arranged in public interest and safety of the general public except the vehicles of the VVIP/VIPS on 29/08/2023 till the session is over”.
As per the direction, the route diversions/directions are, all heavy/commercial vehicles would be diverted from Sangakpham Road to Salangthong; Khongnang Ani Karak to Dingku Road towards Lamlong Bridge and MMTA; Watham Leirak to Thangmeiband Road towards Khuyathong; Vehicles coming towards Khuyathong to LIC and Singjamei to Pishumthong.
No commercial heavy vehicles would be allowed to pass through the road stretching from Khongnang ani Karak-Lilasing Khongnangkhong, according to TCPW. It said there will be no diversion for any such vehicle engaged for emergency services/duties.
