Imphal East Upa-Adakshya alleged of misleading government with false statement

Khwairamband Keithel Street Vendors’ Welfare Union alleged that president of Road Side Street Vendors Ksh Tama misled the people and government with a false statement that street vendors were allow to vend at Khwairamband temporary market shed.

President of Khwairamband Keithel Street Vendors’ Welfare Union (KhKSVWU), L Beda Devi, on Friday said that president of Road Side Street Vendors Ksh Tama misled the people and government with a false statement that street vendors were allow to vend at Khwairamband temporary market shed by consulting with government officials; SP, Imphal West; IMC officers and MAHUD commissioner.

Addressing the media at the Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul in Imphal, Beda Devi questioned under which ground Tama, who is also Upa-Adakshya, Imphal East, made her statement that the street vendors are allowed to vend at Khwairamband Temporary market shed.

She said the authorities concerned should clarify if the SP, Imphal West and MAHUD commissioner have given full authority to Tama for vending inside temporary shed.

Beda said KhKSVWU will apprise Chief Minister N Biren Singh and MAHUD Minister Y Khemchand when the order to authorised street vendors is fully implemented after screening.

She cautioned that the criminal activities of indirectly assaulting street vendors inside the Khwairamband market will be flashed.
