ICDS workers hold protest, demand withdrawal of Imphal City CDPO transfer order

Condemning the transfer order of Imphal City CDPO, ICDS workers appealed to the authorities concerned to issue a stay-order at the earliest.

Workers of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), Imphal City, staged a sit-in-protest, demanding the withdrawal of the transfer order of the Imphal City Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), at the ICDS office campus, Lamphel, Imphal West on Monday.

Speaking to the media, one of the protesters, RK Sunolata, said the ICDS workers condemn the transfer order of CDPO, Imphal City, Tourangbam Roshichand Devi.

Roshichand joined as CDPO, Imphal City about six months ago and issuing the transfer order is against the rules and regulation of posting and transfer policy, the protester said.

Roshichand is a hardworking and sincere person and under her leadership as CDPO, workers of ICDS, Imphal City have been able to achieve much awareness, she added.

Appealing to the authorities concerned to issue a stay-order for Roshichand at the earliest, she said intensified form of agitation will be followed if she is transferred forcibly.
