Stating that handloom and handicrafts of Manipur is unique and has made its place in the fashion industry, not only in the country but internationally, Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar said, "I came here (Manipur) to learn fashion tips."
She was addressing a press conference before walking the ramp of the Fashion Extravaganza 2022 as showstopper here at Hotel Imphal in Imphal East on Sunday night.
It was organised by the Robert Naorem Studio with a motive of spreading a message, creating an awareness and most of all inspiring the youth to celebrate local culture and craftsmanship.
A bevy of the dynamic actresses starting from Bala Hijam, Soma Laishram, Biju Ningombam to the very charming Miss India World 2021 Manasa Varanasi, also walked the ramp as showstopper of the Manipur Fashion Extravaganza.

The fashion show, which was held for goodwill, in high spirits and honouring the skilled weavers of the industry, also gave a platform to the models from the differently-abled community.
Furthermore, as part of the Pink Ribbon campaign on cancer awareness, the American Oncology Institute also launched its latest and innovative product, the cancer detection bra during the event.
Expressing that fashion is an individual choice and must represent one's personality, Chhillar expressed her excitement to wear the Manipur traditional attire for the very first time.
The Miss World also applauded the weavers who have contributed such detailed dedication in the making of an outfit and also stated that handcrafted jewellery of the state is very unique on its own.
Appreciating the American Institute of Oncology for introducing the self-detecting bra, she said it is the right time to give awareness as many women are fighting against breast cancer.
