Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit is held on every 3rd Friday of the month and if 3rd Friday happens to be general holiday or public holiday, it is held on 3rd Thursday.

The district administration on Friday conducted the Hill Leaders Day cum ‘Meeyamgi-Numit’ at Chaengdai High School, Chaengdai village under Tamenglong block in Tamenglong district.

As usual, the district level officers of Tamenglong attended and opened their stalls to provide redressal to the public grievances.  

The newly joint deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar informed that any grievances can be sent to the special dedicated cell prior to ‘Hill Leaders Day’ and ‘meeyamgi-Numit’ with the district coordinator Thangboi Gangte, ADC/ADM Tamenglong and assistant coordinator Paul Nangsha, SDO/BDO Tousem, in charge SDO/BDO Tamenglong.

Tamenglong deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar formally launched the poster campaign on POCSO Act and PCM Act on Meeyamgi Nungmit at Chaengdai village.

Bishnupur: District Administration, Bishnupur organized Meeyamgi Numit at Ningthoukhong KhaLamlong Bazar Community Hall, Ward No. 9 in Bishnupur district today. This month’s edition of the peoples’ day is the first outreach Meeyamgi Numit organised outside the district headquarters. Deputy Commissioner  Lourembam Bikram, accompanied by SDO Bishnupur, SDPO Bishnupur and DLOs heard the grievances of around 320 applicants pertaining to CMHT Card, Labour Card, Widow Pension, Old Age Pension and Ration Cards among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram stated that the purpose of Meeyamgi Numit is not only to address the grievances of the public, but also to raise awareness on the projects and schemes implemented by various line departments in the district. He further highlighted that this today’s Meeyamgi Numit is significant as it also coincided with the nation-wide observance of “Civil Services Day”. Stating that both shared the same objective, he said that “Develop India”, which is the objective of Civil Services Day, will materialize when services reach the last mile.

Cautioning the public against unauthorized conversion of agricultural lands in contravention of the Manipur Conservation of Paddy Lands and Wetlands Act, Deputy Commissioner Bikram also urged the people to report illegal activities in agricultural lands to the district administration.

The Deputy Commissioner later distributed Weavers Cards, Seeds and Saplings under Horticulture and Soil Conservation including assorted kits under ZEO. Various line departments set up departmental stalls to facilitate a diverse range of concerns of the public.

Senapati: For the month of April, the Senapati District Administration organised the District Hill Leaders Day & Meeyamgi Numit today at Khabung Karong Village Community Hall, Senapati District.

In Fridays event,  Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati distributed Ration Cards, School uniforms and Free Textbooks, Fire extinguishers and Yoga mats. A welding machine and a water pump were also handed over to the village Chairman and Secretary for operation and maintenance of the water supply scheme under NESIDS.

During the event, various grievances relating to voter’s cards renewal and corrections, Aadhaar correction and enrolment, problem relating to power supply, Job cards, Old Age pension, widow card, driving license, Disability certificate, schemes enquiry from various department were addressed and redressed at the spot. Besides, various certificates like Income, Domicile and Tribe were also issued. The Health department also provides scanning of Non- communicable diseases and Health cards to the people.

It may be mentioned that the District Administration Senapati is observing the District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit on every 3rd Friday of the month and if 3rd Friday happens to be general holiday or public holiday, it is held on 3rd Thursday. For smooth functioning and better coordination, a special dedicated Meeyamgi Numit Cell is given with Whatsapp No. 9863554329 and email ID: senapatimeeyamginumit@gmail.com. On this day, SP, Divisional Forest Officer, Chief Medical Officer, CEO ADC, SDO’s and DLO’s will be present to settle/ dispose of the grievances on the spot.

Various public services of beneficiary- oriented schemes will also be delivered by the concerned departments.

Ukhrul: With an aim to make the governance of the state more citizen-centric and programme implementation effective, the Ukhrul District Administration organises it's 8th edition of District Hill Leader's Day and Miyamgi Numit at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Ukhrul on Thursday.

Thirty departments were present in today's programme. Some of the major line department were District Health Society, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, District Agriculture, ICDS, CAF& PD, PHED, LM Block, DIT, Transport, Electricity, Handloom & Textiles, District Social Welfare, District Industrial Corporation, One Stop Centre, PMGSY, PWD, MSPDCL, PHED, UDCRMS, Autonomous District Council and ZEO.

In the event, DC of Ukhrul . Krishna Kumar initially addressed the gathering by saying that everyone who has come should go back with a smile on their faces. He appealed to all the DLOs to give priority for the resolution of their clients. Later, the DC took the patience to attend every individual to their grievances after which concern departments received and handled their issues.

Meanwhile, the District Health Society issued 23 Birth & Death certificates, received 11 applications for PMJAY & CMHT card and 3 applications for UPID. The District Social Welfare received 52 old age and old age home applications under MOAPS, CMST, 17 applied for CMWPS(widow) and 2 for CMST.

Textile, Commerce & Industry (DIC) received 1 applications for PMFME scheme. Out of 200 publics in attendance 109 different grievances/ applications were received. Thirty tables for different departments were arranged and 98 villages/ localities represented in the programme.
