Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam resigns as CM’s advisor

Radheshyam mentioned that he had decided to resign as advisor to CM as he wanted to give his attention to the upcoming Lok Sabha election and focus on the development of Heirok assembly constituency as well.

Heirok assembly constituency MLA Thokchom Radheshyam on Thursday resigned as advisor to Chief Minister N Biren, citing lack of responsibilities and desire to focus on the upcoming election and the development of his constituency as the reason.

In his letter addressed to CM N Biren, Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam stated that he had not received any responsibilities since he had been appointed as the advisor to CM. He mentioned that he had decided to resign as advisor to CM as he wanted to give his attention to the upcoming Lok Sabha election and focus on the development of Heirok assembly constituency as well.

In a video posted on the MLA’s official Facebook page, he explained why he had decided to step down as the advisor to CM. He mentioned that he had received many queries from his workers and the people of Heirok, asking him to help the people as an advisor to the CM. He stated that he has no power as the advisor to CM, adding that he reportedly had even consulted with chief secretary Rajesh Kumar who was also stumped. He maintained that he had decided to step down as the advisor to the CM considering the various issues in Heirok which need his undivided attention.

Meanwhile, in a video posted on his Facebook account, MLA Th Radheshyam condemned the state government for alleged improper conduct. He appealed to the politicians of the state to stop giving false and hollow promises, urging them to deliver the promises which they have given to the people. This would make the people trust the politicians more and increase communal harmony as well which would ultimately lead to the development of the state, he added.

Mentioning the recent debates on land rights, he urged the land revenue department to publicly present the data of land transactions in the state for the last six years since the BJP rule come to the state.

It can be mentioned that CM N Biren appointed MLA Th Radheshyam as the advisor to CM on December 31, 2022. He was the Education and Employment minister for three years during CM N Biren’s first term as the state CM. The ‘School Phagat-Hansi Mission’ was commenced during his tenure as the Education minister.
