Health Minister and Family Welfare Minister Sapam Ranjan Singh visited the RIMS and JNIMS hospitals on Sunday and met those injured in the violence who are undergoing treatment currently.
He interacted with them and heard their grievances and requirements. Ranjan also had a meeting with the top officials of these two hospitals to take steps so that the respective medical staff can ensure extra care, a non-shortage of medicines, and other requirements.
Meanwhile, the Relief Committee JNIMS on Sunday stated that the committee has treated as many as 325 individuals who sustained injuries in the ongoing conflict which broke out on May 3 as of Saturday.
The committee stated in a rlease that in the present conflict, the hospital also witnessed seven deaths and a total of 21 child delivery cases till Saturday.
It thanked all those who have extended help to date and further appealed to the public to donate financial assistance for the treatment of those who have been injured during the conflict.
It mentioned that the committee used a total expenditure of Rs 3.56 lakh for the treatment of the individuals which was donated by the public.
