Health camp for women, children held

The health camp offered a comprehensive range of activities and services designed to address the health needs of women and children.

A one-day health camp for women and children was organised by CRY (CHILD RIGHTS and YOU and Australian Consulate General Kolkata with the aim of providing essential medical services, health education, and awareness to the vulnerable sections of the population.

The camp took place on Sunday at Ngairangbam Makha Leikai Ibudhou Pakhangba Community Hall, Imphal West and was a collaborative effort involving healthcare professionals (Dr. Bupen, consultant Orthopaedic/sport medicine RIMS; Dr Deli Khao - Critical Care; Dr. Chingkhei - Emergency and Trauma - Raj Medicity) Nurses & volunteers from Wide Angle, and local Club (Ngairangbam Makha Leikai Western Sporting Club), Montu Ahanthem, Secretary of Wide Angle stated in a release.

The camp targeted women and children, offering a range of medical check-ups, and health-related guidance. It also provided medicine free of cost, the release said.

Some of the key services provided during the camp included medical check-ups, nutritional guidance, health education, distribution of essentials medicine, consultations and referrals, the release stated.

The health camp for women and children proved to be a resounding success accomplishing its objectives of providing healthcare services and education to a vulnerable demographic, Montu stated.
