As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign, the District Legal Services Authority, Chandel, under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority, organized a “one day health camp cum interaction programme” in collaboration with office of the Chief Medical Officer, Tengnoupal district and 20th Assam Rifles (Kwatha Post), Tengnoupal district at Kwatha Village, Tengnoupal district.
The programme was chaired by Aribam Guneshwar Sharma, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Chandel cum District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West District.
Lamkholal Kipgen, secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Chandel cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandel, Kumari Sarungbam Mangaleibi Chanu, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Moreh, Team of 20th AR (Kwatha post), Tengnoupal district, Medical Officers and staffs of CMO Office, Tengnoupal District also attended the programme
A Guneshwar Sharma, chairman, DLSA, Chandel spoke on the legal service system and sensitized the participants on the procedures of availing free legal aid and services. He further stated that the main objective of the health camp and Interaction programme was to spread the awareness on free aid and services provided by the Legal Services Institutions in the state. RK Mohendro Singh, advocate and RK Imoba, advocate were the resource persons of the programme. The resource persons sensitized the participants on the government related schemes and procedures on how to avail such schemes.
The village authorities and local villagers participated in the programme.
In Churachandpur, a one-day awareness cum sensitisation programme for the police officers and Prosecution Churachandpur district was held at DTC Hall Tuibong Churachandpur.
