A hand grenade was found near the residence of one Yumkhaibam Rajendro at Khurai Puthiba Leirak under the jurisdiction of Porompat Police Station, Imphal East district at around 12.10 pm on Thursday.

Manipur police bomb disposal squad team later detonated the hand grenade at Nongmaiching Ching around 2 pm. Porompat police station also registered a case.
