The Manipur government has appealed to all sections of the general public to continue with their normal activities during the 48 hours public curfew called by the Thoubal and Kakching District Apunba Lup (TAKDAL). It also appealed to TAKDAL to withdraw the curfew.
State chief secretary Vineet Joshi stated in a release that in view of the "effective maintenance" of the prevailing law and order situation in state, the general public has been told to continue performing normal activities and functions during the statewide curfew announced by the TAKDAL on September 8-9.

The CS appealed to all to refrain themselves from involving in activities that may create mistrust, misunderstanding or aggravate the prevailing law and order crisis in the state.
The CS also stated that a “sincere appeal is also made to TAKDAL to withdraw their call in the public interest, and discuss issues with the Government of Manipur”.
The government also appealed to all general public and transport service providers to continue normal movements/activities as usual. Further, all are requested to support the steps taken up by the state government towards bringing normalcy in the state.
