GoI holds political dialogue with ZUF

The legacy of Haipou Jadonang and Ranima for homeland is now picked up by the Zeliangrong United Front and processed for resolving the Zeliangrong political aspiration: ZUF

The first round of official and political talk between the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and the Government of India (GoI) was held on Wednesday following the signing of the CoO agreement between the two sides on December 27, 2022.

Deputy secretary, ministry of information and publicity, ZUF stated in a press release that the charter of political demand with relevant documents for references was submitted as the basis for discussion in a cordial manner. Both sides have understood each other's positions and agreed to continue the dialogue on the dynamics of the homeland demand at the earliest, the release added.

ZUF further mentioned that the discussion has affirmed to address the long drawn Zeliangrong political issues that was left unaddressed for decades with the passing away of Rani Gaidinliu, the then president of Zeliangrong People Convention and freedom fighter of India.

 The first round of official and political talk has paved the way forward to define an ultimate political solution in fulfilment of the long-cherished dream of the Zeliangrong kindred people, the ZUF said.
