General Observer of 2- Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency, Ujjwal Kumar (IAS) and Police Observer Vaibhav Krishna (IPS) arrived in Chandel District on Thursday in connection to the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024.
They were greeted with a warm welcome by the District Election Officer (DEO)/Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mayanglangbam Rajkumar (IAS) and Superintendent of Police, Pandey Hemant M (IPS) at the DC Office Complex, Chandel District.
The two observers took stock of the poll preparedness for the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 in the district and also interacted with the DEO and the SP.
At the DC Office Complex, the two observers conducted on the spot inspection of the strong rooms. They also inspected the procedures and protocols followed by the election officials in handling and guarding the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines.
