Free training on mushrooms cultivation, vermicompost making

The Rama Foundation stated that a free training programme on the scientific methods of mushroom cultivation technology and vermicompost making wll be held from July 29.

The Rama Foundation on Monday announced a free training programme on the scientific methods of mushroom cultivation technology and vermicompost making.

The programme aims to empower individuals to create sustainable income opportunities, foster self-employment, and develop leadership skills, said the foundation in a release, adding it also encourages the substitution of poppy plantations with environmentally friendly and economically viable alternatives.

It maintained that the training programme will take place at the foundation’s training hall, located at Nagamapal RIMS Road starting from the July 29.

The sessions will commence at 10 am and are open to various interested groups, including SHGs, clubs, organisations, relief campers and organisers, it said welcoming individuals from all walks of life, and especially encourage participation from relief campers, Meira Paibi, school authorities, disabled persons, orphan children home students, old age home residents and ST/SC communities.

Marketing and financial assistants will also give to the trainees along with the foundation’s health and discount card, it added.

To register for the programme, interested individuals or groups are required to submit their bio-data along with Aadhaar, passport photos, and identity cards. Registration can be done by visiting the foundation office or by sending the required documents through email or WhatsApp through “ramafoundationmanipur@gmail.com” and “+91 8787734452, +91 9402005803”, it mentioned.
