Free school uniforms distributed at SSPP Residential School in Churachandpur

During the distribution programme all students from Class I to Class X, numbering 600 in all, were presented with the free school uniform.

The Paite Student Association-run  Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP) Residential School located at Ngathal in Churachandpur on Friday distributed free school uniforms for their students which was sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.

The distribution programme, which started at 9 am, was graced as chief guest by Lianminthang Samte, Junior MCS & SDC/Churachandpur and as special invitees by President of YPA GHQ, Lianmuanthang Valte and Secretary of SSPP JHQ Delhi -NCR, Kamsuanmung Tonsing apart from the president of SSPP GHQ, Thangzamang Ngaihte and his cabinet.

On the occasion the secretary of SSPP Residential School managing Committee, Thongkhenmung Hanghal, welcomed the gathering while chief guest also delivered a speech to admonish the students who are mostly underprivileged children of the society; the vote of thanks was given by Lalhlimpui.

On the occasion, the chief guest said that as the world is progressing and technology age is emerging, school text books have also advanced and hence, the students must strive to be the best in any field they choose to  get to their goal.

He also said that amidst the crisis the SSPP Residential School is doing very well and that it gives him immense joy knowing the school produced 100% first divisioners in Class X examination. He also called on the students to know what they are really aiming for in their lives while they study.

The SSPP Residential School was established in 1999 to accommodate orphans from the civil-war like situation at Churachandpur district that occurred in 1997 eventually produced outstanding students who hold high posts in private and public sector in India.
