Free eye camp in Imphal East

As many as 108 individuals got free eye check up in the camp held in Imphal East.

A one-day free eye camp was organised on Wednesday at Top Makha Leikai in Imphal East to raise awareness on various complex eyes conditions due to diabetes and other diseases. It also aimed to give an opportunity for eye checkup to those who were unable to visit hospitals and clinics regularly.

Stating that as many as 108 individuals got free check up in the camp, a release said that spectacles and medicines were also made available at 50 per cent discount and facilities of other concessions for those who needed operation.

It was organised by the Oriental Pioneer Association (OPA), Medi Lane Foundation, in collaboration with the District Health Society Manipur.

The camp was attended by president of OP Y Inaocha Luwang; member of ward no 6 Th Angoubi Leima; ophthalmic assistant of Medi Lane Foundation Guru Aribam Dipomala; Medi Lane Foundation optometries Y Pintu and other subordinate staff nurses, the release added.
