Fit India Freedom Run held

The event was held to encourage the people remain healthy and fit by doing  physical activities.

A programme “Fit India Freedom Run” was organised on Tuesday by 86 Bn CRPF, at its Unit Headquarter (HQR), Lamphelpat Imphal with an objective to encourage the people to remain healthy and fit by doing  physical activities and support in their daily life.

A release issued from office of commandant-86 Bn, CRPF, Lamphelpat has stated it was held under the supervision of commandant-86 Bn CRPF, Kalyan Singha and IGP, Manipur, and Nagaland sector CRPF, Randeeep Datta. The event covered 2.5 Km distance starting from unit HQR Lamphelpat around its surrounding and back to its initial point.

The programme were attended by minister, Forest Environment and Climate Change, Awangbow Newmei; ADGP (Int), Manipur, Ashutosh Kumar Sinha; ADGP (Ops)/(AP), Kailun and JD, SIB, Imphal, Rajesh Kamble.
IGP, Rajesh Datta and DIG, Adm, Manipur Nagaland sector, DK Tripathi were also participated and motivated the local people and encourage them.

During the event, minister, Awangbow Newmai urged to local people to remain fit and healthy by doing exercise in the daily basis. He also extended gratitude for taking up such initiative and expressed his hope that similar kind of even will be held in future, it added.

Commandant, Kalyan Singha elaborated about the significance of the event and stressed about significance of physical fitness movement in order to place India in number one in the world in health index, the release stated.
