First medical camp for Kangpokpi's Chalwa villagers held

The medical camp was organised under the calendar programme of the Rotary Club, Imphal along with 44 AR.

A two-day medical camp was held for the first time ever for villagers of Chalwa in Kangpokpi district of Manipur on November 20-21.

The medical camp was organised under the calendar programme of the Rotary Club, Imphal along with 44 AR. During the camp, different items were distributed to the villagers under the leadership of commandant, Col Pradip Kumar and chief medical officer, Dr Shyam Sunder.

Secretary of Rotary Club, Imphal, Prem Pebam stated that a total of 1,450 villagers were registered in the medical camp for medical diagnosis and treatment. Overall, 20 doctors from JNIMS and RIMS with 12 members of the Rotary Club had conducted the medical camp in the village which is 102 km away from the state capital. The Rotary club will continue to conduct medical camps at every corner of the state, he added.
