A financial aid was provided to the family of three-year-old cancer patient Moirangthem Mangalsana Singh on Saturday by Punna Hingminnasi Group (PHG) as part of the group’s 22nd donation drive.
PHG provided the financial aid to M Sunil Singh, the father of the patient who has been undergoing cancer treatment at Mangal Life Care Hospital, Imphal.
The donation drive was attended by PHG general secretary S Jayadeba, information and publicity secretary H Chaoba Devi, along with executive members S Dilipkumar, Md Shaid, Y Basantakumar, N Romil, Wahida, M Jibanlata, A Shyamola and Kh Sunibala.
Speaking on the occasion, PHG general secretary S Jayedeba Singh said that PHG is a group formed by likeminded people of Wangjing Tendra assembly constituency with the objective of providing financial aid and support to the needy and downtrodden section of the assembly constituency.
He added that each member of the group contributed Rs 100 every month to provide aid and support to those in need. He also urged the people to support the group in their cause.
