A financial aid was provided to woman activist Lisam Pramo, who has been suffering from failure of both kidneys, from Thoubal Kiyam Siphai by Women in Governance (WiNG) Thoubal on Monday.
In a visit led by WiNG Manipur convenor Nonibala Narengbam, members of WiNG Thoubal handed over financial aid of Rs 80,900 to Lisam Pramo at her residence at Thoubal Kiyam Siphai to support her treatment. Lisam Pramo has been waiting for kidney transplant.
On the occasion, WiNG Thoubal member Oinam Thoibi said that Lisam Pramo was an avid woman activist who worked tirelessly to end violence against women and children for the last 18 years.
As a legal para volunteer at Legal Aid Kiyam Leitanpok, Pramo was also instrumental in providing legal aids to the unfortunates, she mentioned.
Lisam Pamo conveyed her appreciation to the WiNG members and people who extended support for her treatment as well, adding that she will continue working for the wellbeing of the people after she regains her health
