Industry Minister Nemcha Kipgen who is also the MLA of Kangpokpi assembly constituency distributed fertilisers to the deserving farmers in Kangpokpi assembly constituency at Ngahmun village on Friday.
The happy farmers received their share of fertiliser at subsidised rates. Nemcha distributed the fertilisers (Urea) to the farmers of her constituency to encourage them in producing the best agricultural products for a self-reliant state.
She said that the fertilisers would be given only to the deserving farmers and warned to initiate stringent action against any farmers found misusing the fertiliser, especially in poppy cultivation.

The minister informed the farmers to report anyone selling Urea in the black market within Kangpokpi assembly constituency instead of buying the fertilisers in the black market at an inflated price.
She also warned that benefiting action would be taken if any official or staff is found involved in selling fertilisers on the black market.
Giving a thumbs up to the minister, the farmers from various communities in the constituency expressed heartfelt gratitude to the local MLA for the timely distribution of the fertilisers as the cultivation season has begun.
One of the farmers, after receiving his share of fertiliser, said that it will help him save his paddy from diseases and harvest a higher wheat yield than ever before.
