Manipur Shiv Sena president M Tombi on Friday urged the state government to solve the issue of fertiliser shortage at the earliest and threatened to launch agitations along with farmers in the state.
Tombi told mediapersons at the party head office located at Babupara in Imphal on Friday that despite the state government taking various steps, farmers have started facing shortage of fertilisers.
The state Shiv Sena leader appealed to the state government to solve the issue before the party launches agitations along with farmers of Manipur.

Tombi further conveyed condolences to the families of the victims of the massive landslide at Tupul, Noney district that claimed the lives of 16 people and left several injured, while many more were missing.
The party members extended their condolences by observing a two-minute silence at the party office on Friday morning.
The main reason behind such massive landslides is mass deforestation in the hilly regions of Manipur, including improper installation of roadside drainage systems in the national highways of Manipur, he pointed out.
The state government should take necessary steps for installation or construction of roadside drainage systems along the national highways, especially in the hilly regions of Manipur, he added.
A team of party members will be visiting the tragedy site to provide necessary assistance, Tombi added.
