Meeteis living in Kwatha Khunou near Myanmar border are gripped by fear after suspected Kuki Militants reportedly attempted to launch an attack on the Meeteis at Kwatha Khunou on Friday.

According to sources, suspected Kuki militants armed with sophisticated weapons reportedly arrived in four vehicles around 2.30 pm.
However, the militants were intercepted at 5 AR Kondong Lairembi Check Post after which they reportedly went back.

The same has triggered fear psychosis and tension among the Meeteis at Kwatha Khunou of probable attacks by armed Kuki militants.
