Elite Tournament: TRAU Kwakeithel move to finals

The second semi-final will be played between Cyclone Thangmeiband and PTRC Patsoi on Thursday.

TRAU Kwakeithel sailed into the final beating Blue Hawk Khurai by 83 runs in 6th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

TRAU opted to bat first and built up 163 runs for 10 wickets from 38.5 overs with opener P Prafullomani making a solid foundation of 76 runs from 86 balls while Priyojit Kangabam got 22 runs. Blue Hawk bowlers M Pritam claimed 4 wickets while W Samson picked up 3 wickets.

Chasing the target, the Blue Hawk batsman had a hard time facing the bowlers but N Jackiechan managed to contribute an unbeaten 27 runs but failed to reach the target as they were bundled out for 80 runs for 10 wickets from 26.3 overs.

TRAU bowler Priyojit Kangabam bagged 5 wickets and was later adjudged as Man of the Match while Borish Kh took 3 wickets.
