A one-day Awareness Programme on Youth and Drug Abuse was held in Thoubal on Tuesday, which was attended by 30 youths of Thoubal district.
The programme was organised by the Council for Advancement of Rural Development, (CARD) Thoubal Kshetrileikai with support from Sitaram Jindal Foundation, Bangalore, at the Conference Hall of CARD Kshetri Leikai, Thoubal on Tuesday.
Motivational speaker Th Bonbihari delivered a talk on youth in decision making process and their role in making drug free society. District programme manager, CMO Office Thoubal Ch Basanta Singh spoke on Drug abuse and alcoholism among the young generation and ways and means to stay away from drugs.
DACYP Member K Lokendro Singh NYK Thoubal delivered a talk on the role of youth in combating drugs.
Puyam Sharat Singh of CARD extended his thanks to all the resource persons for their beautiful presentation and also expressed his gratitude to Sitaram Jindal Foundation Bangalore for the support in the larger interest of the youths of the nation.
