Educational camping on Amur falcon held in Manipur's Tamenglong

While trekking, the students rescued four injured Amur falcons, which were then handed over to the local volunteers as per the advice of DFO Tamenglong.

A two-day educational camping under the Save Amur falcon campaign was conducted by Rainforest Club Tamenglong in collaboration with Tamenglong Forest Division and Wildlife Trust of India at Chiuluan roosting site.

Students from the United Builders School participated in the outdoor learning programme from November 8 to 9.  The students enjoyed bird watching, morning trekking at the roosting site.

Students were requested to observe and note down details of what they see and hear at the roosting sites.

The students were also requested to explain what they feel about their experience of walking at the roosting site. Detailed explanation on Amur falcon and its conservation status were highlighted to the students after observing the status of Amur at the roosting site.

The students voluntarily take their pledge to protect and conserve Amur falcon and other wildlife in the sistrict. Around 20 students took part in the learning programme.
