The 4th edition of Documentor Imphal, a workshop for refining and developing reality storytelling projects and ideas, began on Sunday at Preview Theatre, MSFDS, Palace Compound.
The five-day workshop, which will continue till April 28, is being jointly organised by MSFDS, Documentary Resource Initiative, TC Foundation and WIN Foundation as part of the golden jubilee celebration of Manipuri Cinema.
Interestingly, apart from being mentored by acclaimed professionals in the field of reality storytelling, the participants of the 4th edition of Documentor Imphal will have the opportunity to pitch their project and get sponsors, financers or even co-producers.
MSFDS Secretary Sunzu Bachaspatimayum said in this regard that such an opportunity is for the first time in the State since the introduction of the workshop in 2014.
He also exuded confidence that the workshop will facilitate telling Manipuri stories to a larger audience.
Acclaimed filmmakers Pankaj Rishi Kumar, Deepa Dhanraj, Supriyo Sen and MSFTI and DRI Director Nilotpal Majumdar are mentoring the participants.
Nilotpal Majumdar said that the mentors will share skills, knowledge and sensitivity towards developing the projects.
