The developmental activities to be taken up under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) 2021-22 of Rajya Sabha MP Sanajaoba Leishemba have been listed out, following administrative approval and by sanctioning Rs 1.96 crore expenditure of total Rs 2 crore.
The developmental activities are to be implemented in 16 assembly constituencies in the hill and valley districts and the process for successful implementation of the activities has already been underway, stated a release issued by OSD cum media advisor of the MP M Shivadutta.
The activities include construction of community halls at Salankonjil in Kumbi assembly constituency, Chanam Sandrok in Keirao assembly constituency, Charoibung in Mayang Imphal assembly constituency, Ima Thareima ground, Soibam Leikai Ahongei in Wangkhei assembly constituency and Konsakhul in Saitu assembly constituency; construction of irrigation ponds at Moirangpurel Mamang Ingkhol Loukol in Andro assembly constituency, Keirou Loukol in Thanga assembly constituency, it stated.
According to the release, the activities to be taken up under the scheme are establishment of a public hall at Chajing Lakpa Pureiromba Hill in Langthabal assembly constituency; construction of public pond with boundary fencing and renovation of bathing platform at Yaingangpokpi Keithel in Lamlai assembly constituency; setting up of Ukhrul Townhall in Ukhrul assembly constituency; digging of community pond for rainwater harvesting at Champhung village in Chingai assembly constituency; digging of community pond at Maku Village in Phungyar assembly constituency; construction of public toilet at Khoupum village in Nungba assembly constituency; construction of community ponds at Azuram village in Tamei assembly constituency; setting up of community park at Aimol Chingnunghut village in Tengnoupal assembly constituency; and construction of guest house and wall fencing at Hongman Tangkhul village in Saikul assembly constituency.
It also sought support and cooperation from the people in making the developmental activities successful.
