The National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO) on Tuesday demanded to declare the Kuki militants under SoO as terrorists for allegedly waging war against innocent civilians, condemning the Central and State government for allegedly failing to control the situation in Manipur in time.
NIPCO, in a release, raised serious concerns in connection with the constant heinous activities reportedly carried out by armed Kuki militants in the urban and remote areas, instilling fear among innocent civilians.

It further decried the Indian Security and Paramilitary forces’ alleged failure to intervene and merely remaining a mute spectator.
‘If they are unable to prevent loss of lives and properties, they should be sent back’, stated NIPCO.
The Council also expressed discontentment over the artificial price hike amid the tough times facing the people owing to the prevailing conflict and warned of actions against those traders and businessmen hiking prices of essential commodities.
It further urged the authorities concerned and public to extend their support towards the same.
