With the State showing considerable improvement in law-and-order situation, the Manipur government has relaxed curfew timing in Imphal West and Imphal East Districts from 5 am to 6 pm on Friday (August 18).
According to the latest notifications issued on Thursday by the respective district magistrates, curfew has been relaxed in both districts to facilitate the general public in procurement of essential items, including food and medicines.
It further mentioned that movement of persons belonging to essential services such as health, electricity, PHED, petrol pumps, schools/colleges, municipality, power (MSPDCL/MSPCL), press and electronic media, functioning of courts and to and fro movement of flight passengers to the airport will be exempted from the imposition of curfew after the expiry of the said period of relaxation.
