The Churachangpur United Clubs Organisation (CUCO), a sister organisation of AMUCO, observed its 14th anniversary at B Vengnuam community hall, Churachandpur district on Friday.
The programme was attended by DGP LM Khaute as chief guest while the guests of honour were AMUCO president Ph Nando Luwang and BJP former GS Ngulthang Zou. The functional president was CUCO president SK Manggan.
On the occasion, Khaute said that he felt grateful to learn that under AMUCO, Churachandpur has become a unique place for social transformation where more than 10 tribes live in communal harmony in the spirit of unity in diversity.
He also recalled the year of 1995 when he was the SP of Churachandpur where community welfare associations like Citizen Welfare Association helped the police in bringing peace in the district. He further urged the CVOs to get ready for development as railways will soon be introduced and Churachandpur will be one corridor that will connect India to south East Asian countries.
