CRPF Bomb Planting Case: We will not compromise, says CM Biren

On Saturday, a CRPF jawan was caught red-handed by the locals while he was allegedly planting a 'bomb trap' at the site of Jadonang Memoral in Puiluan Village under Nungba sub-division, Noney district.

Reacting on the report where a CRPF jawan was allegedly caught planting a ‘bomb trap’ at Noney district on Saturday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday said that he will not compromise on any such scandalous act. 

He was replying to a query raised by the media on the sideline of the launching of Flybig's maiden flight from Imphal to Tezu and Guwahati at Imphal Airport.

CM Biren informed that inquiry has been initiated by a police team led by an ADG to obtain the facts about the incident. 

The state government will not allow anyone to sabotage the inquiry, he said adding that, "We are there to protect the rights and lives of the people and give a dignified and quality life."

On Saturday, a CRPF jawan was caught red-handed by the locals while he was allegedly planting a 'bomb trap' at the site of Jadonang Memorial in Puiluan Village under Nungba sub-division, Noney district where renovation work is going on. 

According to reports, the jawan was set free after the village court imposed a fine and an agreement was signed with the CRPF.
