The Communist Party of India - Imphal West District Council (CPI-IWDC) on Thursday condemned the meeting held between the 10 Kuki MLAs of Manipur, including two ministers, CSOs and Suspension of Operations (SoO) groups with Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Wednesday.

CPI Imphal West held its 30th conference at Irabot Bhawan in Imphal during which the meeting was presided by Irom Manihar Singh, the party said in a press release. During the meeting, the party condemned the meeting between the Kuki MLAs, leaders and Mizoram CM.

Attendees also took various resolutions including a demand to convene a special session of the Manipur assembly before September 18, 2023, to chalk out strategies to resolve the prevailing issue in the State, it mentioned.
