CPI Heirok calls for combined operations without Assam Rifles

The Heirok Local Council, CPI condemned the chief minister and the Manipur BJP president for not taking any actions against the 10 MLAs demanding a separate administration.

Heirok Local Council, CPI on Monday alleged the present crisis is due to the failure of the security forces monitoring the SoO Kuki militants, and demanded a combined operation of security forces, excluding the Assam Rifles.

A release issued by Heirok Local Council, Communist Party of India (CPI) secretary Th Mohon Singh stated that though the present crisis started in Churachandpur, owing to the failure of the security forces monitoring the SoO Kuki militants, its unprecedented spread over the entire state was due to the government’s failure.

It demanded for a combined operation by the security forces excluding the Assam Rifles to weed out the Kuki militants causing havoc to the innocent civilians and facilitation of the displaced victims to return to their homes. It also demanded the authorities concerned to provide the necessary compensation for the bereaved families and the victims of the communal crisis.

It condemned the chief minister and the Manipur Pradesh BJP president for not taking up any actions against the 10 Kuki MLAs demanding a separate administration. It also condemned the alleged intrusion of the Mizoram government by expressing its support to the demands of the 10 MLAs.
