Huidrom Vikramjit, NPP candidate of Yaiskul assembly constituency, who many believed to be the richest candidate in the ensuing Assembly election of Manipur, has assets worth just over Rs. 6.37 crore as per his affidavits.
The assets of his wife, Huidrom Jamini Devi, is worth almost around Rs 5 crore, the affidavit mentioned.
Vikramjit was former managing director of HVS Construction Material, the biggest construction company of Manipur. His wife is chairman, HVS Construction Material Pvt Ltd.
Their sources of income, as per the affidavits, are from the remuneration and income from their business.
Vikramjit from Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai, Imphal East completed Pre-University in Arts in 1982.
As per the affidavit submitted to the returning officer (RO) of 14-Yaiskul AC, Pooja Elangbam, during his nomination on Friday, his movable assets is worth Rs 1,98,96,832 and immovable assets is worth Rs 4,38,80,000. All self-acquired.
Jamini has Rs 74,09,649 worth of movable assets and Rs 4,20,64,000 worth self-acquired immovable assets. She has liabilities of Rs. 17,21,915.
According to the affidavit, the total income of Vikramjit in 2020-21, where his last income tax return was filed is Rs 35,12,490 and Rs 28,35,390 for his wife. Vikramjit has a total of Rs 2,75,650 as cash in hand and his spouse has Rs 1,98,260 as cash in hand.
