Community unites to support Lamlai volunteers amid Manipur crisis

In a significant show of solidarity, members of the community, including Haobijam Sonia of the Pari Emom YouTube Channel, Meira Paibi from Yairipok Khoirom and sympathizers from Cachar Hojai, visited the office of the Lamlai Kendra Village Volunteer Force (LKVVF) located in Sabungkhok village on Sunday.

Parts of Lamlai Assembly Constituency, designated as a red zone since the outbreak of the ongoing crisis in Manipur, continue to witness sustained efforts from local volunteers and residents to secure vulnerable areas.

In a significant show of solidarity, members of the community, including Haobijam Sonia of the Pari Emom YouTube Channel, Meira Paibi from Yairipok Khoirom and sympathizers from Cachar Hojai, visited the office of the Lamlai Kendra Village Volunteer Force (LKVVF) located in Sabungkhok village on Sunday.

The LKVVF has been actively guarding areas prone to repeated militant incursions. During the visit, the team extended support by distributing rice and cash contributions to aid the volunteers in their efforts.

Haobijam Sonia expressed concerns over the deteriorating security situation in areas on the fringe of Lamlai AC.

She urged citizens to step up support for the volunteer forces while highlighting the importance of preserving communal harmony and stability.

Sonia stated that the contributions, through digital platforms like G-Pay by the public, ensure assistance to the defense forces.

The LKVVF officials acknowledged the contributions as a morale boost in their ongoing efforts to protect the area from militant threats.
