MLA of Heirok assembly constituency Thokchom Radheshyam inaugurated a newly constructed community hall at Heirok Part III Litan Wangma leikai in Heirok assembly constituency under Thoubal district on Wednesday.
The construction of the hall was carried out under the MLA local Area Development Fund.
Speaking at the event, MLA Th Radheshyam lauded the locals of Heirok Litan Wangma for their unity and efforts to construct the community hall. He also thanked the three individuals who donated land for construction of the hall, adding their names should be engraved in stone to inspire the upcoming generations.
He emphasised the importance of a true and honest leader in the development of a locality. He also highlighted the key qualities of a good leader stating that he must have integrity, collaborative spirit and maintain trust with the people. He further assured to initiate various developmental works in Heirok part 3 Litan Wangma, all with blessings from the almighty.
Speaking on the sidelines, president of YDC Club Heirok Litan Wangma, Shaikhom Ibopishak claimed that the long dream of the people for a community hall in the locality for the past 70 years has been finally fulfilled. He also expressed immense gratitude to the MLA and all those who extended their assistance in the construction of the community hall.
Pradhan of Heirok part III Gram Panchayat, Ningthoujam Tangba, leaders and many people took part in the event.
