After a nine-member team of the committee met the Speaker, along with ministers and MLAs, on Monday committee, coordinator Jeetendra Ningomba told the media at its office at Lamphel, Imphal West, that the present crisis is triggered by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists.

He demanded the people’s representatives to take the state Cabinet’s decision of withdrawal of SoO with Kuki groups in the Assembly as another resolution. These resolutions should be sent to the central government, he reiterated.

He said the government should stop playing the system of divide and rule policy in the state and should work for one Manipur.
Various people staying in the peripheral area are not satisfied with the policy on removal of illegal bunkers at peripheral area which is not carried out in the hills, said the coordinator.
The special Assembly session should also take a resolution against the demand for a Separate Administration in the state, Jeetendra said.
He said COCOMI condemned the killing of a Maring woman, Lucy at Keibi Heikakmapal on Saturday.
