The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has strongly condemned the burning down of government school building, primary health centre (PHC) and houses in Kwatha Khunou on Sunday after tension in the peripheral areas calmed down in the last few days.

In a release on Monday, COCOMI stated that the new tension erupted in the border area clearly showed that the ongoing violence is a pre-planned by the enemies to break the territorial integrity of Manipur. It also condemned the Indian government for turning a blind eye even after unprovoked violence had been carried out in the state and for giving them immunity in the ongoing violence if the SoO agreement with the Kuki militants had already ended.

It also condemned the act of the Kukis for halting the state police from carrying out investigation regarding the physical assault of two Meitei pangals at Moreh and carrying out acts towards the state police which affected their morale by pushing them. It warned the authorities concerned of a possible protest by the people of Manipur if the authorities concerned failed to take up steps to avoid further untoward incidents.
