Clothes, stationary items distributed

Members of Lions Club of Imphal Valley istributed warm clothing and served lunch to the inmates of ‘The Hope Home’ located at Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West on Thursday.

As a part of the motto of Lions Club of Imphal Valley’s “feed the hunger”, the club members distributed warm clothing and served lunch to the inmates of ‘The Hope Home’ located at Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West on Thursday. 

In a release signed and issued by club administrator and region chairperson (III), district 322D Lions Clubs International, N Romi Singh mentioned that Lions Club of Imphal Valley has been taking social responsibility and service to the community as a part of service to the humanity under Lions Clubs International District-322D.

 It said as a part of a signatory project of the club carried out from time to time, the club members organised ‘feed the hunger and distribution of warm clothes’ for the inmates at ‘The Hope Home’, Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West. 

During the occasion, first vice president of the club Shanti Bagda delivered a speech regarding the signature project and expressed gratitude on behalf of the club members.

Warm clothes, including track suit and pants, bath towel and stationary items were distributed and a lunch was also organised at the home as a part of feed the hunger project, it added.
