To encourage the spirit of cleanliness as a ‘Way of Life’, a one-day cleanliness drive was conducted by Youth Empowerment and Development Society (YEDS) at Moijing in Thoubal district on Saturday.

A release issued by YEDS stated that the cleanliness drive was organized by Youth Empowerment and Development Society (YEDS), Moijing in collaboration with Eidgah Committee Moijing. The participants had volunteered with their own grass and weed cutting equipment and conducted the drive from 7.00 am to 10.30 am in presence of Moijing gram Panchayat Pradhan Md Abdul Warish, it mentioned.

During the drive, the participants cleaned the Moijing Graveyard (Kabarstan), Eidgah Park and its surroundings, it stated. The drive was aimed at bringing together locals from all spheres of life to understand the importance of keeping the environment clean and green, it added.
