Cleanliness drive in Moreh

A cleanliness drive was carried out in Moreh town on Monday as a part of the 126th Birth Anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot.

Amid the outbreak of dengue in Moreh, Tengnoupal district, Manipur, a cleanliness drive was carried out in Moreh town on Monday as a part of the 126th Birth Anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot.

The cleanliness drive was organised by the Yaipha Thourang Thousillup (YTT) of Moreh Khunou Leikai. It was participated by the youths, officials, members and Meira Paibis of Moreh Khunou Leikai. In the drive, participants cleaned the sewers and stagnant water bodies.

At the event, YTT general secretary K Tolensana Mangang said that YTT is a branch organisation of Meetei Council Moreh (MCM).

Under the initiative of MCM, the club had organised cleanliness drives in and around Meetei localities in Moreh town in the spirit of Irabot Day celebration, he added.

He also cautioned the people of Moreh to follow the norms to control the Dengue disease and keep their respective localities clean.
